PsyPractice September News

Sept 2004 -- After one year in development, we're pleased to announce that the Mauldin Pattern Assessment Version 2.0 (MPA-2.0) is now LIVE. For those of you who are currently using the assessments, I hope you are happy with the new release ... for those who are not currently PsyPractice customers, we hope to hear from you soon. We are also capable of showing you a free demo account of what we can offer.

Here is a list of some new features and functions offered with Mauldin Pattern Assessment Version 2.0:

  • Organization's 'Super-Admin' can create, edit, and (re)assign internal Administrators ... including team counseling where multiple administrators/clinicians can be assigned to one client.
  • Client transfer in from/out to other Organizations
  • Assignment and scheduling of assessments
  • Ability to stop/save/continue testing
  • Increased security to exceed HIPAA requirements
  • Continued Verisign 128-bit encrypted secure site
  • Self-generation of Organizational Reports including:
        - comparison of individual tests
        - comparison of program tests
        - comparison of outcomes for pre/post assessment
        - demographics by type desired
        - short form for test and subtest report summary
        - risk factors for trauma areas
        - comparison graphs
        - intervention suggestions

We also want to inform you of our new certification opportunity ... what we like to call our "Steps to Success". After the completion of a pilot program or the purchase of a PsyPractice account, you can choose a person to become MPA Certified.

  • An MPA Certified Trainer is a key person administering tests who will be able to train others on administration and interpretation within the organization.
  • This person would be trained through workshops covering:
        - pattern formulation through environmental interactions, interpersonal
        relationships, and biological stressors
        - early behavior development to reduce stress and increase predictability/control
        - ability to recognize patterns based on factor, range, strength/weakness, and
        trauma score interplay
        - experience with hands-on interpretation of individual behavioral patterns
  • After successfully completing the training, this person will be awarded an MPA Certified Trainer Certificate.

    Quote of the Month:
"Keep these concepts in mind: You've failed many times, although you don't remember. You fell down the first time you tried to walk. You almost drowned the first time you tried to swim. Don't worry about failure. My suggestion to each of you: Worry about the chances you miss when you don't even try." - Sherman Finesilver
